The Highline, Reading

Elder acquired the site in 2024, identifying the opportunity to transform an underused office building in the heart of Reading into a new residential community.

Since acquisition, we have led the project through planning, design development, procurement and funding, working collaboratively with our investment and delivery partners.

Planning permission was secured in 2025 for The Highline, a 266-home co-living development moments from Reading Station. The project has since progressed through detailed design and submission to the Building Safety Regulator for Gateway 2 approval.

Elder will continue to lead the development through construction, completion and stabilisation, maintaining the vision and quality established from the outset.
